Easy hike, the view is marvelous. Slickum Creek runs down one side of the rock. The trail follows the creek up to trail head 2.

easy short loop with really cool view at the waterfall

We went to do this trail today and the entry road ( I believe it is called Persimmon Ridge)to the trailhead was washed out pretty bad. A 4-wheel drive could tackle the road but i was in my car so we had to turn back.

Started at Sweet Thing on 276 and made my way up the creek. This is a thin trail in the beginning, but very rewarding with 4 decent falls and a few minis along the way. You have to cross over the creek few times, there's a lot of crossing over and under brush and limbs, but a good quick payoff not far from Greenville.

Nice view & spot for a picnic without any hiking effort- only about 5-10min from the gravel road of Persimmon Ridge Rd. Very overgrown however and lots of bugs/spider webs. Need to return by gravel road if doing a loop.

if you enter from the first side of the entrance when you get on Persimmon ridge rd from Geer highway it's confusing where the trail is as you're supposed to go up two stairs on the side instead of continuing to go straight. When you go up the two little stairs you'll pass by a pile of bricks. the view is super gorgeous but you'd get a better view from bald rock or Caesars head. short hike

Very short hike to a beautiful view. Had to drive down Persimmon Ridge, a gravel winding road that was tricky in my sedan, but manageable. This is right by Bald Rock and Caesars Head, so we visited those as well since this took so little time.

In my opinion, it's short for a hike - a 10 minute walk - but a great opportunity to see a spectacular view of Paris Mtn / Table Rock / Caesar's Head and a wide array of wild flowers from a few steps from the car door. the trail head is difficult to find. the rock face is steep & dangerous. I saw butterfly milkweed, wild native mint, beauty berries, wild sunflowers, star grass and lots of great rhododendron in bloom.

This trail can easily be combined with Eva Russell Chandler Heritage Preserve #2 which is a moderate trail. This trail has the better views and some ruins.
