Lots of poison ivy! ATVs allowed on trail everyday except Sun. Saw our 1st snake (black) of the season.

HikingGreat!

We took a right onto the spur trail to go to The Narrows! Beautiful waterfalls. Worth the hike, but the last half mile down to the falls is rough! Especially climbing out on the return trip. If you stay to the left (at "The Narrows" sign) it takes you to the primitive camp sites (3 of them).

Wildflowers really getting started! If parking at the red gate on Horsepasture (and not the Foothills Trail lot 1/4mi earlier) DO NOT BLOCK THE GATE!!! This gate is used by search & rescue in case of emergency, and blocking the gate can result in a fine or getting towed.

Nice hike with some good views, and The Narrows waterfall is beautiful. Be ready for a climb back to the top. About 6mi round trip. Parked in the Laurie Valley parking lot and walked up the road to trailhead.

Beautiful trail, not too strenuous, beautiful waterfall/river drop at turnaround point.

HikingGreat!

Great hike down to the Narrows. My dog even found a runoff trail down to the base of the creek just before the platform. If you park at the Laurel Valley Trailhead lot, take the road Southwest for a short distance to the trailhead.

Nice trail with some pretty views. The falls are beautiful. Would 100% go back in the summer with a picnic and a bathing suit.

A drizzly, overcast day but overall had a lot of fun! Have done this one other time and really enjoyed! A little mushy in spots from the rain, but still very doable!

We loved this trail. Perfect moderate trail for when you don’t want anything too technical. Winter views are great and the narrows are gorgeous along with the river itself.

Well maintained trail. Muddy in spots where run off crosses the trail. Great view of the narrows and access to the river above the narrows.

It was about 25F when we started today, trail was in good shape and well marked. No trouble keeping warm. The view of the narrows is good, but the platform is small. The path the diverges to the left about 100 yards from the platform takes you down to the river where is plenty of room to sit and have a snack.

The walk down yo entrance is tedious. Trail is solitary snd scenic. Trail is narrow in places and steep. Recommend you allow plenty of time. The narrows at the foot of the trail are beautiful.

This is a beautiful hike! The Narrows are amazing to see! If you take the spur to the left at the Narrows sign, it’s a very short walk to the creek. Lots of rocks to sit on and enjoy lunch or just soak your feet. Take your dog! This hike is not difficult. It is a bit over 5 miles long like the description says, but if you take breaks, it’s a doable hike for even beginners. Don’t miss seeing the Narrows!!!

Perfect hiking weather! I didn’t see anyone else (Thursday) so it was very peaceful. The trail is in good condition. On the steep decent - keep your eyes on the trail - in many places a misstep could be disastrous. The AllTrails map is 100% accurate.

Peaceful trail for a Saturday morning. It took us 2 hours and 45 minutes and we passed about 5 people total along the path. Enjoyed the soft rolling hills and even terrain for the first part of the trails and the more bumpy and steep terrain as we approached the river and falls. Definitely take the quick detour to view rushing water at the Narrows, it's beautiful! We had a quick picnic while watching the falls then headed back. It was a great trail to escape the crowds. I hiked this trail with my teen son, I think seasoned younger hikers would be fine too.
