Eagle Trail is a 1 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Columbia, South Carolina that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. A loop trail with cut-through in the middle and two spurs at each end. Trail features several wide open areas as well as the draw of tree identification. Trees identified include Red Maple, Long Leaf pine, Short Leaf pine, White Oak, Flowering Dogwood, Tulip Poplar, several different cherry trees and many more.

Not long, but a good family hike. We took the time to read and identify the differences in many trees. The open spaces surprised us, but at the same time make us want to go back in warmer weather to bring a few friends and throw a ball around.
