Arrived shortly after the park opened and hiked the blue trail. Nice trail with a few challenges, but we had the tail to ourselves and enjoyed the scenery.
Beautiful fun trail with tons of amazing side trails to stop off and hang out or play in the river. All of the trails kind of loop together - we did the orange loop, hooked over to the double red trail and found some great spots! It was pretty crowded on the river today but not so much on the trails.
Blue path is narrow but nice. Lots of swimming holes and beautiful waterfall spots.
This is an easy quick see of a nice waterfall. Definitely more of a family place a little busy for us
My family loved the trail! it was a bit steeper than we expected and we only did half the trail because we liked the swimming spot we found a lot. over all loved the experience.
Very nice park. Did between massive rain dumps as late spring in SC pretty much rains every day seems like. Falls were nice and nice pic nick area to have lunch. Not real long but has nice smaller cascades / rapids which were cool as well. Only reason not 5 was short distance and not overly difficult.
We went on the orange trail and it was great! So many spots to explore along the water.
Awesome family friendly area. Nice waterfall that is directly across from the parking area. Amazing river views, clearly marked trails, a sandy beach area for swimming, very well maintained park with staff onsite. $2 parking fee.
Nice short trail. Does have some elevation gain. It will you off trail on the map but if you are on the orange trail you are good! Open seasonally Park open through coronavirus but not the campground or restrooms.
It’s such a beautiful park with pretty breathtaking views of the river throughout most of the hike. It was great for the kids and dog.
Very cute little park very easy to hike and you get immediate gratification by being able to see the waterfall.
The one mile blue trail is excellent for families with kiddos of all ages as well as dogs. The first half follows the river with an excellent view of the rapids, while the second half loops through pine forests. The suspension bridge is beautiful and there are plenty of picnicking areas. Take advantage of the free life vests and float through the rapids or wade in the shallow water.
I had a long week of hiking! I wanted an easy day. This was a perfect place to go. I hiked the orange trail. Very easy. Very short. A large portion of it is next to the water. There were many chances to rock hop and stick your feet in the water. There were families on the sandy beach areas. And there were kids playing in the rapids. There are free loaner life jackets. It looked like a fun time had by all! It was only two dollars per car to get in. And they have replaced a lot of the wood on the bridges, and on the steps. The bathrooms are very very clean
