From the parking area, this moderately difficult loop trail encircles what was the scene of the Battle of Blackstock, which took place on November 18, 1760. During the battle, 96 British troops were killed and buried on this site. The land has not been disturbed since the battle and evidence of some placements are still evident. Displays throughout the area show information about plants and animals in this area.

Nice easy quiet hike. Good history lesson.

Quiet and short hike. There was no one else there that day. Took my wife and my two younger daughters with me. A small portion of the trail is next to the river but it isn't good for swimming or wading (as that was what we were hoping to find). There is a bit of a hill climb but shouldn't be a problem for any average person. Overall, good trail and very private.
