Very nice trail through a shady pine forest. Pine needles under foot made for a nice cushioned walk. Took the pink blazed spur that lead to a giant depression with picnic tables and a fire pit. The trail may have kept going. Also saw a white blaze. Don't see these trails on any maps that I've looked at. couldn't keep going on what I thought was the pink trail because of flooding UPDATE: Talked to park ranger. He said the pink trail was an old trail to primitive camping. They want to make it an active trail again. He said people are welcome to walk it.

Light, simple, great park rangers. Pond is not exciting, but a nice addition.

HikingGreat!

This Beaver Trail was perfect for me and my dog. We enjoyed hiking among the trees and pine needle path. The length was perfect so we could do it twice a day. This is a nice small park for us to stay at.

HikingGreat!

Nice little trail. They must have made a smaller parking lot where the trail crosses the access road. The pond was dry or the Beavers are doing a great job on doing what Beavers do, especially with all the rain we got earlier in the week.

HikingBugsGreat!

Beautiful short trail. Nice to walk your dog, on a leash. The pond is an interesting wetland, full of wildlife and buggy. Cross the road and trail continues to Norton Pond. Look out for the jerks on mountain bikes, who do not belong on the hiking trail, and scared me half to death!

It’s a nice, widely traveled trail. Unfortunately, the “beaver pond” was just a field of weeds. Lake Norton lost its damn several years ago and only recently has been restored. I suspect that the beaver pond met the same fate, but hasn’t been restored by the beavers.

Not a bad walk. Not much scenery and the beaver pond at the back of the trail isn’t much of a pond, but still a nice trek thru the woods

Easy fall hike more like a walk with a great outlook of a depression area with lots of birds! The wooded section it's flat smooth with lots of pine needles under foot....Woodpecker territory.
