This trail is dumb thicc, plenty of space for bigger groups and bicycles. Heavily trafficked too. I went down and back (3 miles each way) and there’s some cool parks along the way that look like they’d be great for a family picnic. I traveled alone so I just ate a granola bar and stared enviously at families that had prepared three course meals. Anyway...lots of pups being walked so be prepared to pet as many as possible. There are also small dirt paths along the main trail that you can stop off briefly for a more scenic view if you’re trying to get those extra Instagram likes. Once again bugs were after my succulent O- blood so good thing I brought extra spray. I suggest you do the same!

This is a good Family Trail due to its length and the fact that it is heavily trafficked. The best parking I found was at the trail head in Slater’s Memorial Park, near the baseball field. Nice partial views of the river along the way and only one road crossing. Bonus: Slater Memorial Park, which has an amazing playground, paddle boats to rent, Looff Carousel and much more! The three star rating is for the trail only.

Easy, pleasant, paved trail runs along the Ten Mile River from Rumford in East Providence through and beyond Slater Park in Pawtucket. It's well traveled but I didn't find it crowded in any sense. It is easily wheelchair accessible. It provides for a nice escape to nature in what would otherwise be considered a fairly urban area.

This is a 6 mile out and back trail. Very nice views of the Ten Mile River all along. It is a paved trail designated as a bike trail, but mostly I have seen walkers. Trail begins at the Rumford Little League fields and goes to Pawtucket. Parking at either end. Trail is suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. One street crossing.
