Clearly marked trails with maps posted. A nice short loop with well packed trail, many tree roots and rocks, although not technical overall. Remained shaded most of the run and few deer flies despite their prevalence nearby in swampy areas.

Very pretty and shady on a hot day. The back of the yellow trail is narrow and a little confusing in spots where blaze is sometimes two yellow and sometimes one yellow. Worth wearing boots if it’s been raining or if you tend to roll an ankle in runners, it’s not always easy to see the roots and rocks because of the overgrowth.

Keep the dogs on leash—there are deer here. Deer Hunting allowed in season, some signs note that dogs are not allowed mid Sept-mid January.

Very well marked trails, options for length. Almost completely shaded for majority of path. Leads down to narrow river-I had a great swim. There’s a little spit of sand you could rest and picnic at end. Bathrooms clean, trails well maintained. Can be a tad muddy so be mindful of choosing wisely after a pretty good rain storm. Well trafficked areas, felt safe-lots it dog walkers and happy doggies. Surrounded by lush forestry and ferns. In muddy areas, many pallets constructed and set up to make traversing it easy. No issues with bugs or animals. And parking for at least ten cars! Easy breezy trail.

I hiked this trail for the 100000000 time today. It never gets old. One thing for sure. Its best when its been dry for a long time. There are allot of small streams that run along the trails, and the trails stay wet for a while. Its just one of those trails that stay wet for a while. Still really nice.

I walk this trail often. It is well marked and very clean. Map stations are also along the trails. Lots to see. Wear safety colors.

Beautiful day and a well kept trail. We ventured out with the kids, including a 3 year old, and we all enjoyed the hike. There was some mud, and some hunters, but watching the birds at the beach, passing the falls, and searching for the sheep pen made for a fantastic morning. The trail was a bit busy on the way back, but if you go early, it’s a quiet hike.

Nice trail, we did it with a 4.5 year old and a German Sheppard. Nice spot to enjoy the water.
