We hiked along the water's edge climbing across/up and down the rocks. It was challenging but a great hike!

Great Views, Lots of variety on trails, cliffs and the Fort to walk through. The views from the 100ft high granite cliffs are amazing and with the crystal clear water you can see all sorts of wildlife. I brought my 2 kids (4 and 8 years old) along with two dogs and we all had fun. Dogs are allowed, but on a leash. One thing to note, is the cliffs are all eroded rock and have some sharp corners on them. My children came out unscathed but the possibility to get hurt is there. Bring a flashlight if you intend to explore the fort. But be warned about the amount of broken glass and the profanity of the graffiti.
