Pros: Pond is very clear. Bike and Family safe. The trail is wide. Good for a day hike because the length was perfect. Fun moguls for mountain biking. Neat old building at the start of the pipe, and the pipe is cool to see. The surrounding forest is peaceful, quiet and pretty. Cons: Place is moderately crowded, sometimes buggy and muddy in some places. Steep hills may ward off some people, as some of the grades get up there [otherwise easy terrain]. About: The trail gave me the creeps, but it was probably only because I found that someone had died a few years ago in the Management area. Otherwise, the forest is nice, and the pond is the same.
There are a lot of interconnecting trails and off shoots to the “main “ trail (all trails app). It’s not very well marked but a wonderful place once you find your bearings and figure it out a little. Not very well marked...but gorgeous and enjoyable!!!
Great walking trails with plenty of routes, and places to stop along the way to enjoy the views of the pond. Trails aren't well marked if you stray from the main loop, so have the app or map handy. There's a small area in the marsh to the east that has been flooded both times I've come. You can get across with some rock hopping and balance, but might not be for everyone.
Nice walk around the pond, however trails to get to the pond are poorly marked
Well marked and pretty open but you can go off on other smaller trails to make it more interesting.
