Canonchet Trail (Narragansett Trail Extension) is a 5.6 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Canonchet, Rhode Island that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The Canonchet Trail covers moderate terrain. There are some interesting colonial foundations, an old mill foundation along the trail, and large glacial rocks. It also makes it possible to extend the Narragansett Trail to Rt. 3.

if you go during summer bring bug spray and wear a hat and sunglasses . long pants if its not to hot. The biting flies are in large supply here.
