This is a great hike for a beginner. Make sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen and BUG SPRAY. Cannot believe how buggy it was WITH bug spray

Parking for Ryan Park on Oak Hill Road just off Route 4. Starts out beneath the power lines along the highway and cuts over towards Belleville Pond and Belleville Park. This circuit makes for a great 7 mile trail run or long walk/

Great for trail running. Lot's of nice pond views and bridges. Saw a lot of people biking which looked fun. Easy to get lost so use the app if you're on a time crunch. Pet friendly! Highly recommend

great trail, with scenic views. It would be great for biking too. You can easily get lost though since it’s not really marked, so I recommend using the map on here.

I would definitely go back. Beautiful scenerery and a lot of off-shoot paths and shade. Only complaint is that the trails are not marked. One can, as we did, lose themselves (thank God for the app). Also noticed it’s a great place for biking.

Love Ryan Park - so many different trail options and beautiful scenery. You can choose the length of your cruise around the pond since there are a lot of off shoot paths. Nice place to come sit by the pond and enjoy a picnic and the wildlife or set out on the water in a kayak (there is a put in ramp). Some trails have large root parts, slowing down a jogger and there were muddy parts - to be expected. Great field space and a (very small) playground and basketball courts for families and pups!

Very limited shade in many areas. heavily frequented by mountain bikers with no trail etiquette. Besides those two things the trail has some great scenery, a beautiful bubbling Brook, and many miles of good hiking. As long as it’s not extremely hot and sunny, and you do not get run over by a mountain biker it is a great day.

Nice trail! I wish it was better marked, have to use the app a lot to stay on the actual trail, there are lots of side trails. It’s really pretty with a cute bridge. Isn’t too busy, but some people/ dogs/ horses usually out so definitely need to pay attention, especially with the tighter areas. The long stretch is more of a bike path and is a little boring for hikers. Can be muddy.

Was a gorgeous day to do this hike but for some reason very windy and even hot cold near lake. lots of off shoots in there and parts not well marked. can either loop right around lake which there is an awesome bridge or a dirt road path further away from lake. Great day!

make this 5.15 miles..there are so many side trails in here you can make this trail any length you want. it's about 2-2.5 miles just looping the pond. After looping the pond we finally got on a trail with yellow blazes, which stop half way. good day

Picked this trail for an easy Sunday stroll. You can adjust your path to make the trail shorter if desired. The path winds through parts of the pond and over a bridge, so there are some really nice vistas but also a tad bit of mud to hop around. Hiking boots recommended, but not necessarily required. Parking was plentiful even though there were quite a few people there.

Nice hike. Muddy for the first part of it but expected with all the rain. Mostly for bikers. No real trail path for hiking. Just a lot of biker loops. But still a good hike. Nice bridge crossing over the pond.

Good easy 4 miler. Heavily trafficked. More of a mountain bike trail. And motorcycles were periodically buzzing by. A Nice Pile of used tires at the end.
