Great trip! The side trails down to the waterfalls were great views! A little muddy, but it just rained so it's expected

The amount of scenic falls along this trail completely blew me away. I spent more time admiring the falls than I did hiking.

Nice trail! Has multiple side trails to get a better view of the stream, but is also very muddy with all the rain we were having. We saw people in flip flops and bare feet and ankle deep in mud- so make sure you have appropriate foot wear on lol
At the end of the trail when we got to the waterfall- it was basically a vertical drop. Impossible with kids to get down. We were bummed. It was still a gorgeous view of the falls from the trail even though we couldn't get close!

It is well worth the trip if the water is flowing on Jonathan Run.

Awesome trail. It was recommended by the very nice lady at the visitors center at Ohiopyle. The entrance can be one of 2 places. You can enter the trail on the Yough river side or on the Holland Rd side. I did the Holland Rd side. It was very much when i did my hike but still awesome. You cross 2-3 wooden bridges that cross Jonathan Run several times. You can also hit connecting trails like the Kentuck trail and the Sugar Run Trail. Also after you hit the youth river trail there is another waterfall on the old mitchell trail

Absolutely gorgeous rugged creekside trail. The series of waterfalls are spectacular.
