Yough River Trail - Sutersville to West Newton is a 3.9 mile point-to-point trail located near Sutersville, Pennsylvania and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, horses, and mountain biking and is best used from March until November. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail.
Crushed limestone surfaced rail-trail along the Youghiogheny River. (4 miles) Typical rail-trail conversion with an even and level surface of crushed limestone. Just north of the West Newton is a rebuilt replica of the rail station that once stood here and a combination rail car (combination of passenger and baggage) built in 1925. This will become the new headquarters of the Regional Trail Council. This section of trail features two sets of mile markers. The original P&LE markers measuring rail miles to Pittsburgh and the new plastic Great Allegheny Passage merkers for trail miles to Cumberland.
