Yough River Trail: Dawson to Connellsville is a 11.1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, horses, and mountain biking and is best used from March until November. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail.

Coal outcroppings, historic beehive coke ovens and riverside parks. The rail-trail between Dawson and Connellsville features nearly a mile of beehive coke ovens along the hillside and outcroppings of the Pittsburgh coal seam.
