Crushed limestone surfaced rail-trail along the Youghiogheny River. (3 miles) Typical rail-trail conversion with an even and level surface of crushed limestone. This section of the Youghiogheny River Trail features an interesting geologic feature. The "Rusty Falls" south of Industry are built from the runoff of the Pittsburgh Coal Company's Ocean No. 2 Mine which closed in 1932. This section of trail features two sets of mile markers. The original P&LE markers measuring rail miles to Pittsburgh and the new plastic Great Allegheny Passage merkers for trail miles to Cumberland.

This was a very good trail went to the right out of the parking lot by the boat launch, it's flat scenic and beautiful went about 5 miles and turned back. My 8 yr old daughter biked it with absolutely no problem. Definitely going back to do the other side. Great for biking with kids and walking as well.

I thought it was a nice quiet, we'll kept trail. Great for bicyclists. A neat old cemetery down about 2 1/2 miles. Not to many off trails that could make it more fun.
