Nice shaded hike with lots of elevation change but trails are very poorly marked. We wandered for at least an hour before getting on the trail we wanted to be on. Creek is great for wading when you finally find it! Most hikers wearing masks. Not too crowded even on Memorial Day weekend. Lots of off-leash dogs around lunchtime even though dogs are only supposed to be off leash before 9:30am or after 3:30 pm

I really like this trail, it ticks a lot of boxes for me. It has a statue, water, bridges, terrain changes, elevation changes, even a Little Rock scramble. Plenty of birds, chipmunks, squirrels, etc. a few down trees that can be navigated, few muddy patches, not terribly busy on a Thursday morning. Didn’t encounter a lot of mountain bikers. I would consider this a true moderate trail. I’ve completed this trail a few times and in no way is it 4.7 miles as marked. Keep the app handy, there are a few spots where it’s easy to get off route. Small lot and street parking available.

Went with the whole fam (1 year old carried on back, 7 year old and 5 year old), so we only made it about 1 mile down the trail before turning around because of tired legs, but the kids had a blast. We were on the “lavender trail” for the duration of our shortened loop. The kids’ favorite part was exploring the creek that ran alongside the trail, which included lots of fun rock formations and mini waterfalls. The trail itself also included lots of small rocks and bumps, definitely not an evenly paved path, but it was perfect for us and totally doable for the kids. Small word of caution to be watchful for poison ivy off the trail. It was also pretty secluded and we had the trail mostly to ourselves, only passed by a handful of peOple which was perfect in the time of COVID. We may have discovered a new favorite family trail and just outside Philly, not too far.

Great trail. Away from the crowds. It is rocky so be aware of that. Some places are not marked very well. Thankful for AllTrails. You may reach a few dead zones along the way. Beautiful views!

Such a pretty trail! No complaints here!

This was our first time hiking. So not sure what to expect. There were a lot of trees down blocking the trail. A few times we thought we would have to turn back. Great thing we had this app! Trail not well marked. Not much traffic on a Monday afternoon which was great during COVID time.
