Beautiful hike!! Quite easy to follow, snow is mostly packed down, microspikes were AWESOME to have here, but you would be totally fine without them!
So that was really fun! I am brand new to this hiking app and this was my first time at Wissahicken Valley Park. The trails were muddy because of the rain. I definitely plan on coming back here to get more familiar with the trails. I need to follow the map better. It is tough because it drains your phone battery.
Trail was good. Most of the incline is in the very first stretch. Very muddy with the recent rain but otherwise paths were well cleared. Blazes are definitely lacking/confusing. Download a map prior if you can. Super dog friendly hike as well!
Very enjoyable hike. Seems to be a very popular mountain hiking trail so just be aware if your hiking.
Moderate trail, several spurs and trails to branch out from. A few historic sites and Instagram worthy scenes. You can also sit by the creek with your kids or run around with the dogs at blue bell park
I didn’t do this exact trail. I did a combo of the yellow & orange and I think it turned out to be a much better loop. This route wants you to back track a lot, and by branching off to the orange, you’re able to keep things fresh. The portion of the orange trail that I added had a lot more interesting sights and interesting climbs (elevation changed more, there were some fun little rock section) BUT it was a lot more crowded. The yellow trail had almost no one on it. But overall, a great combo loop!
Trail is lovely! The road was closed leading to the trail on my trip but there are multiple other entrances. Lots of bikers, so hikers may want to stay to the right. Great for a fall hike!
Nice rocky trail down to Forbidden Drive and then back up a 320 foot climb to the starting point. Very Nice!
Loved it! Wanted to get to the waterfall but had to leave early. Not too challenging and plenty of beautiful greenery
Really beautiful trail, glad I was wearing my hiking shoes as it got a bit rocky. Passed about 25 people over about an hour and a half on a Friday night.
Pretty decent trail. Low foot traffic. Moderate bike traffic (would really recommend staying to the side of the trail as the bikes just zoom past you). Not much going on scenery wise.
A nice trail through dense forest in a generally under-appreciated part of the park. It can be a little muddy and rocky and some spots, but it is a good trail for jogging in some places. A lot of bigleaf or umbrella magnolias give it a unique tropical feel.
