Warwick to Ephrata Rail Trail: Ephrata is a 5.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Ephrata, Pennsylvania and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, and road biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Trail from Ephrata to Millway Rd. generally clear of recent snow, but some small icy patches. West of Millway Rd. the trail was still snow covered so I turned around there.
Randomly decided to walk on the trail and it was such a great walk! I am from out of the county so I didn’t know what to expect. Everyone was so friendly and I loved that there were porter potties along the trail. Such an added bonus.
A lot of people on the trail, I prefer the woods over rail trail’s. This was my first recording and log in the app. Just wanted to give it a try. Nice bike ride with my son
Hit the rail trail today to avoid the mud since it rained last night. Surprisingly pleasant, paved path with polite cyclists and friendly folks. Great, easy walk.
Well-maintained, mostly flat trail, with a handful of road crossings. Delightful, Pennsylvania towns at either end.
Paved most of the way with the rest as well packed gravel. Ok for road cycles (we had two Cannondales). We started at John R Bonfirld Elementary, road to Elphrata and stopped for a pint at Black Forest Brewery then road back
very well maintained route. enjoyed looking at some of the decorations people have put up. people were nice.
Lots of "adults" on this trail that come speeding down it on their bikes yelling at everyone to get out of the way. If you have young kids be careful. Had an older lady on a bike basically run my kids off the trail and then shake her head at them because they were "in her way".
Nine miles! from Lititz Spring, to the pedestrian bridge at Middle Creek in Ephrata. This path is a great civic project, a boon to the two cities, AND to the countless neighborhoods it touches. This path is heavily trafficked throughout Ephrata, and also close to Warwick. Other portions of the path are almost empty. These segments are just begging for parking access. The path is unfinished at both ends: It peters out in Ephrata, around Chestnut St.; In Lititz, it dies at Oak St. However, both ends can be extended with a little effort. Ephrata sidewalks take you all the way across the Middle Creek bridge, ending at the floodplain park along the creek. Lovely! On the Lititz end, you can follow Lititz Run all the way to Lititz Spring Park! Side trails include the Warwick Trailway, the Ephrata Wildlife Preserve. The preserve links up with Brickyard Park--a hidden gem. The preserve also has extensive MTB paths, and a skills course. Keep a eye on your kids! The road crossings are hazardous--particularly Rothsville Road, where cars are going 50mph. Porta-johns are common. But, no water-- bring your own.
For photo trail map, see recording: https://api-v4.alltrails.com/explore/recording/warwick-to-ephrata-rail-trail-ephrata-9c82c71 The path is very well maintained, wide, and flat in both asphalt and crushed stone. Very suitable for an easy walk or easy bike ride. There is also a small wooded area along the main path that has mountain bike trails, a skills park, and a pump track. Maybe the best part, for me anyway, is that the path overlooks a small motocross track that is on private property. There is nothing like the sound and smell of a 2-stroke dirt bike! May you always find joy in the scent of fresh air, the way breeze feels, the glistening reflection of a splashing creek, and the sound of wind in the trees.
nice easy Trail. Flat nothing difficult about it. a lot of bikes and walkers. it has some pretty views but it's mostly residential. a nice walk for a lazy afternoon.
Great place to bike with kids. No hills, wide path and beautiful scenery. The only drawback is that you have to cross multiple roads.
