Beautiful trail. I went out on the Twin Sisters trail, across on the pipeline right-of-way, and back on the STS, for a total of 23 miles. This was a one-day trip, with 8.5 hiking hours, and fortunately the weather was perfect. I saw no other people, and no animals except chipmunks. If I do it again, I would skip the pipeline cut-off and hike the road route around to the top of the STS and come back that way. Scenery is lovely and the trail is mostly in good shape. Some poorly marked areas in the middle part of the Twin Sisters, and the upper part of the STS is more like side-hilling than trail hiking because the trail is not well-developed along the creek. Overall a fabulous hike!

Not sure if this trail is able to be mountain biked but, I did. Very steep climb up to the summit but once on top of the mountain beautiful views! As well as easy biking on top. And the climb on the way down was sweet! Only problem I had was there were many down trees on the climb and on top that with the heavy mountain laurel made for finding a way around was difficult and climbing over some of the large trees was not easy. All in all worth the hike or bike to the top!

One of my favorite trails. Great view, no crowds. Completed many times.
