Chestnut Grove is a nature photographer playground . All the photo here were taken with a cell phone. This is a great hike for anyone - kids also. — If you hike back to the point where the Turkey Hill Trail goes down to the Enola Rail Trail - Hike up the hill to a clearing — where you can see the river. I have hiked here in every season and love it - a hidden gem!

Took a portion of this trail when hiking the Turkey Hill Trail. It’s very pretty and a great birdwatching part of the trail. I imagine that an earlier time in the season it be gorgeous as the fields are full of wildflowers. They were dried up when we hiked it but I’ll definitely be back next summer to view it! Not too technical as it’s a nature trail and more quiet and relaxing. There are benches through out it for you to relax and enjoy nature. We sat down for a quick break and recharge before finishing the second portion of the Turkey hill trail.

Very grassy, tall grasses. Saw a Gardner snake. Dogs had fun.

Nicely maintained and marked trails, but absolutely no shade for majority of trail. Lots of birds around the ponds. My dog and toddler enjoyed this one. Only wish there had been a few spots of shade. There are some nice benches scattered around, but all are in full sun.
