This trail is closed to the public. A tough hike up the mountain but the view is fantastic. When you get to the top follow the path down somewhat to a viewing area. This used to be a launching point for gliders in the 70's.

Easy just a walk. Not a hike at all. Do not recommend This is the Iroquois trail Tunkhannock I am rating as it is not on the app.

I am from the area and the track and cross country teams run up there every now and then for a hard workout from the school (about 7 miles) Its all uphill one way so I wouldn’t consider it an easy hike. It is also private property but I have never had issues hiking or running up there. Also there’s not really anywhere to park unless you want to hike up from Dunkin at the bottom of the hill or park on the side of the road. It’s a nice outlook of Tunkhannock but a lot of hill to get there.

This is PRIVATE PROPERTY and not for public use. We drove an hour to get here, and it is blocked off with a no trespassing sign, and it's posted PRIVATE property all around it. There's even a no parking sign at the only place to pull off, and the State Police showed up when we got out to look around, to make sure we left. This trail should be removed from this site.

they recently cut more of a road on this trail which makes it easier to climb

The trail seems to have been replaced this summer by a wide road, probably for construction equipment. The climb itself was easy enough, but going up such an enormous road instead of a trail was not so beautiful as it must have been earlier. Just be sure to continue on past the summit to a big scar on the other side, where there are many great views of the area.
