I enjoyed this trail more than I thought I would, though starting from the south end of it I was not expecting it to ascend as far up the mountain as it does. Pretty much goes straight up/down at that spot which is also rocky for a short bit (rest of trail, not so much). What was nice about this trail is there are a lot of areas where the trees are more sparse so you can look across to the other mountain most of the way (probably even in summer). Really liked the mossy coating that was everywhere on the trail too. Doing in reverse was nice to do the steep ascent first and then enjoy the gradual descent/scenery rest of the way back.

Last half of the trail is downhill on what seems like a "run off" trail for water from the top parts of the mountain. It was dry during my hike, so it was not an issue - however may be more treacherous the wetter the trail gets. Great hike, you can walk Augwick Road back to the parking lot so it doesn't have to an out and back.
