Tannersville Cranberry Bog is a 1.1 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Tannersville, Pennsylvania and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and nature trips and is best used from April until October.
We had a tour booked through a school group. It's an interesting sight if you are interested in different ecosystems. They explain the difference between a bog and a swamp as far as the chemicals in the water and the types of things that are able to grow there. There are wooden pathways built over the bog so it's not so much of a hike, it's more like an easy walk.
It is closed to the general public and only open for tours on certain dates and times. We were disappointed we couldn't walk it when we went Saturday. There is also a fee. Finally the address given is wrong too. It is located on Cherry Lane. I uploaded a picture of the info.
