the hike starts out walk down a gravel rd in the woods. Then if you are lucky you will see a muddy path into the woods (no signs or trail markers). The hike is peaceful but boring. Then you get to the top and it is totally worth it. No people no cars just you and the veiw.

No shade for about half the way. Bugs were out. Overall pretty clean. Worth the short hike for a beautiful view. Great for beginners.

Great views but I didn’t see any signs at all that would show you where the trail to the overlook was which caused us to get a little lost. The actual trail is easy but slightly muddy. Watch for potential sneaks at the overlook since we found a big sneak skin there.

Relatively easy. Kids could handle this one. Most is on a dirt road then veers off onto an actual trail in woods. This app was helpful because there really were no signs or markers to help you so kudos to all the reviews. The app was spot on. Very awesome outlook.

Easy trail that starts from Buzzard’s point parking. No shade for the first half of the trail. Once you start walking through the woods that’s when it becomes shady. Spectacular view of Lehigh Gorge State Park at the end of the trail. Must see during Spring and Fall seasons!

Incredible! Especially when you include the tank hollow express...super steep, wooded, and technical but an amazing adventure! Attempted Bristol-30 but aborted not too far in since it was a straight bushwhack and thunderstorms in the forecast. Will be back to do & attempt again, for sure!

Great hike with a beautiful view. Go early to beat the crowds, as it is heavily trafficked after 10am. We took a trail back off the main trail/road and it was well worth it. Beautiful, easy to follow (blue markers) and didn’t see a single person on it.

a couple of weeks ago I walked the wide road and came upon what looked like trail to take on my right. This was walking what seemed 1.5 miles including going down a bit of hill on the main road. I turned right onto what looked to be the only possible trail to take to the overview. Well 10 minutes later I found myself in a dead end of trees. Turned around and got a little lost making my way back out to the road. Damn. I want to go back today and try to make it to the overview. Anyone have any guidance tips for me? Are there mapping coordinates I can use? Any help is appreciated!!

Hiked three miles with my son and it was a blast! We missed the turn we were suppose to take but that didn’t stop us from seeing all types of wildlife! Highly recommend this trail!

I wish I could rate this as two separate things. The “trail” to get to the overlook is mostly a dirt road in full sun. I would give that part 3 stars unless your favorite thing in the world is lush greenery on either side of a dirt road in full sun. Once you get to the path that takes you to the overlook, which is about a mile and a half in then it becomes more like a hike. The first part of the path is a muddy, mud mud mess which was awesome for my big white dog lol. It does get better and less muddy as you wind your way through the forest. The pay off of this “meh” trail, is an incredible view that definitely made it worth going. If I could give this view 10 stars, I would. Also. I went around 11am on a Monday and there was not a single sole on the trail until I got to the overlook where there were two people smoking pot lol. Yes it was buggy but I was fine as I sprayed deep woods off on me about 30 minutes before I started the hike, and yes, it would be very easy to miss the path to get to the overlook and I am thankful to all the reviewers on here that made me aware of that.

This is an access road to the vista trail. We missed the turn off because it looked like a small creek. Not marked at all. Very muddy and buggy but very well worth it.

About 3/4 of it is on a road with the last 1/4 being a right turn onto Tank Hollow Trail as shown in the map. The trail can be a little muddy with some insects but nothing some bug spray can't address so don't let it deter you. As in other reviews, it can be easy to miss the turn from the road to the trail. A couple of groups we passed missed the turn so have good cell reception and the app open so you don't miss the turn. The view is spectacular. Passed a couple of snakes: one copperhead, a garter, and another possible copperhead which moved a little too quick to fully identify.
