Hiking

Combination of paved, fine gravel, and coarse gravel. Lots of hills, but nothing terrible.

Saw pretty much only bikers. Looks like great mountain biking trail, but annoying to hike and have to yield to bikes every 10 minutes.

Really nice, compact trail system to do good amount of miles within a small area. The trails are mostly narrow, but really well-maintained throughout all the loops. Did this a day after raining and hadn't encountered any mud except a couple really tiny spots. Hardly any rocks to trip on as well. There is just 2 minor stream crossings with enough small rocks to step across. You won't see any particular sights of interest on these loops, but the forest scenery varies quite a bit and is very pleasant/peaceful. Since the state park is sandwiched between Rt 443 and Rt 81 you do hear road traffic really no matter where you are on these loops.

Ok trail.. trail to scenic areas not well marked. Ended up on an awful rocky trail to a dead end and then a trail that was essentially a deserted road with no scenery. Need to go back and find the RIGHT path cause I know it’s there. Wish the trail to the waterfall was better marked cause that’s what I was looking forward to.

First time here for some trail running and it was SO MUCH FUN! The switch backs made it easy and it was so beautiful! Definitely will be making this happen on a regular basis. Just have to keep your eyes and ears open for your fellow mountain biking friends.

Hiking

I hiked the rail trail from both ends . A beautiful Fall day - lots of color - I could not do the loop because Bear Hole is closed for flood damage - this is a great hike for kids or if you want an easy hike . Saw deer, a snake, 6 wild turkey and all the people we ran into were very nice . This hike as a little of everything

Horseback riding

I’ve been horseback riding in the park for over 20 years , for the most part I run into mostly friendly people. Only a few RUDE bicyclists. For the most part a very relaxing ride and plenty of trails to explore
