HikingGreat!

This is a great trail for anyone. It is a huge park with lots of trails, people, and parking. It is very safe and there are lots of signs along the way talking about the nature and trail is marked very clearly. There are a ton of trails you can wander off on and it is very beautiful! I hiked 3 miles. It is right behind the power plant and it is really awesome!!! Great hike.

Nice little trail! Went in March 2020 and some of the trail was a bit flooded, probably from the snow melting and runoff. Definitely bring hiking boots or a good pair of trail runners.

Trail is easy level hike. I walked the cinder trail until the end and circled back making it a 3.5 miles.

Running

We set out for just under 3 miles and ended up with 5 miles. It was pretty enough that we just keep taking different ways. A treasure in our own backyard. It was nice as well to see others enjoying it. I wish the trails were marked better than they were, yet it was nicely maintained, except for the Riverside Trail, which I think is supposed to be that way as a habitat. Definitely going to go back and take advantage of the picnic tables.

WalkingGreat!

And overall easy trail,There are normally quite a few turtles that you can see. And a solid plus for me is they are not normally any cobwebs you have to walk through and if you pick a nice day you can often see you some fish in the water as well.

another nice afternoon bike ride 60 degrees very windy on the ride down to Shickshinny but a tail wind push on the way back trying to get out often for fresh air during this stay at home. Enjoying lots of time with my hubby!!!

HikingMuddy

Nice hike/run through the wetlands, the canals, past Lake Took-A-While, through a portion of the woods, and along the Susquehanna. Lots of different waterfowl. In all, did nearly a five mile loop. Quite a few people had the same idea about getting out today. My dog enjoyed the hike too but had to be on a leash. This is an easy flat hike/run. I’d do this hike again.

Stopped on my way home from work one day. So glad I did! It’s a very well kept park. Didnt see any kind of trash around. A white tailed deer jumped out at me as well! Tip: if you’re heading back along the marsh, bring bug spray. I didn’t have any as this was spontaneous and the welts on my legs are itchy!!!
