Ran this out and back trail on Feb 21, 2020. it is paved and flat and there was moderate traffic in the afternoon. I imagine it would be packed on a summer weekend. It is more a walker/ pedestrian and runner‘s path than a real hiker‘s destination. The route crosses 2 roads but cars immediately halted. For runners, there is a small gravel bed along the trail, if you don‘t want to run on the pavement.

Shady, safe and well kept path. Great place to catch a huge bloom of wild tiger lilies in the heat of summer. Also great in the fall when the leaves change color! So pretty!

Only did one mile but a nice paved flat trail for casual walks and bike rides. Along Forest Branch Brandywine Creek. Can be crowded. Sounds of traffic. But pleasant with plenty of shade.

Nice easy ride with good scenery, and connect with the uwchlan trail to ride up to exton.

Nice paved trail with relatively high traffic during the weekend and good weather days. People are social and mostly respectful. Nice views of the Brandywine. The bad? small parking lot.

It was a warm day considering it’s February in the Northeast. Temperatures in the mid 50!s. My friend and I started at Shelmire - Dowlin Forge Road. Parking area. We walk south towards Downingtown. It was busy for being a Monday. We got on the Struble Trail. Some nice people including a gentleman who said hi. And a man who wore a Oklahoma hat. He said next year will be there year. Lots to see on the trail including great scenery of the East Branch Brandywine Creek. The trail in spots was icy because of a snowfall earlier in the week. We turned around and went back to the car. We did meet a nice lady with her dog. She said she saved the dog who was supposed to be put to sleep. Cute dog. We did a nice little hike. Tomorrow we will head to New Jersey tomorrow for a good hike. This is a nice easy hike. Great scenery!
