Easy trail, well-defined, but not well-marked. Outlook has a nice view! Not the best workout, but a leisurely way to spend an afternoon outside on a beautiful day.

Decently challenging trail, easy to do with a big group of people

This is one of my favorite trails in the park. I usually take the Skyline Trail to the Switchback Trail, follow the Fire Line Trail, and end up back on the Skyline. It's picturesque and challenging! it's great.

well maintained and great for beginners. not too many people on it and the view at the top was worth the hike.

I really liked this trail. The trail is kind of rustic and overgrown in places but I enjoy that type of terrain so I didn’t mind. I thought the view from the overlook was pretty and worth the hike up. My dog and I stopped and had lunch at the picnic table before heading back down.

Nice hike. Well maintained. Some rocky sections with tree roots. Nice family hike. Our group’s ages ranged from 7-75. One nice overlook. Well shaded for the majority of the hike. Some open sections.

I really liked this trail. The reason for 4 stars is that the trail is easy enough to follow, but at 2 turns it wasn’t marked well and one can easily get off track. Otherwise nice and quiet, nice looking down at train tracks and the river with some bubbling spring as well.

Nice hike! Weird 65 degree day in March so very little snow and ice to contend with. Decent views at the top and a couple small stream crossings. Not very strenuous but some gradual uphills got the heart rate up.

This trail is well marked and not difficult at all... A few icy spots. but in general, it is definitely manageable! Great view once you reach the top. We even had lunch by the picnic table!

Not as nice as I expected. Pretty wet trail and not really much of a vista even at the picnic table. Fairly boring. There wasn't anyone really on the trail compared to Shades of Death which is a more scenic, shorter, and popular trail.

Great hike with a nice picnic area at the top. Beautiful view of the river and very easy, strollable hike with the dogs. The first turn isn't marked, but other than that, it was a well marked trail

Nice little hike that has a some nice views along the trail to an overlook of the Lehigh river. Definitely was able to see more during this time of year without leaves on the tree. Trail is relatively easy to follow in the snow and if you're looking for a short hike to get you out of the house this is right up your alley.

Very nice trail, veered off midway, no people, no noise, just nature. Perfect for two almost mid 70's people!

Beautiful hike at Hickory Run State Park. This is part of a series of trails you can walk for hours. Got to the Skyline from Gould trail which is where the directions took us to. Just follow Gould and it will take you to Skyline. Definitely going back to explore more of the trails there.

It was okay. There were beautiful spots but overall not extremely exciting.

There are a whole bunch of trails intersecting on this side of Hickory Run State Park. From the parking areas it's typical woodsey surroundings. Some of the trials are wide before getting to the steep parts. The Skyline and Fairline Trails go pretty much hand in hand. There are a few places where you go into tree cover, but the majority is open when you are on the side of the mountain overlooking the valley. There are some steep rocky sections too. Overall I would call this a medium to hard trail because of the climbs, but it's not a long trail. The views were pretty spectacular.

Parked on the fireline trail and picked up the skyline trail from there. Great views of the Lehigh in the early spring. Also picked up the fireline again at the end and went for a detour on it down to the railroad tracks. Interesting trail, scenery changes quite a bit. Not too many stretches with a lull in them.
