Great trail! It’s definitely a great work out for beginner hikers. I would recommend going to right first and get that big incline out of the way. You will hit a little bit coming back but makes for a great cool down when you get to the top and meet at the fire line trail with a nice view looking over the Lehigh river!

Great trail! Hickory run as a whole has a lot of overlapping trails so this trail was no different. Slightly confusing to navigate but great moderately difficult trail for novice to average hikers. Not technical but very rocky and had some good elevation gains. It’s probably prettiest in the fall.

Fun hike! Great view at the end. A true nature trail, not something paved or extremely carved out.

Hiked April 25, 2020. Fireline Trail Scenic Overlook about halfway through this trail makes for a nice treat, and probably a great place to enjoy lunch. Otherwise a fine if somewhat unremarkable trail.

Easy trail. One good view. Clear path. Marked well.

Great trails! Well marked, inclines throughout. Great views and a lot of options to explore

No blazes, be sure you know how to follow the map. AllTrails was extremely helpful. Beautiful views and loved the hike. Good for advanced beginners and above with elevation gain and rocks/tree roots to navigate.

Decent trail with moderate difficulty. we're just getting back into hiking after 2 years off so it was a bit tiring but we'll worth the effort. beautiful views and great for the kiddo.

Great trail and easy if you’re fit. Other user’s commented on poor markings. I think ambiguous might a better description. The signs are there but they’re at angles that make it unclear. We ended up on the fireline trail which was pretty but a bit vertigo inducing. Well worth it.

Easy trail, well-defined, but not well-marked. Outlook has a nice view! Not the best workout, but a leisurely way to spend an afternoon outside on a beautiful day.

Decently challenging trail, easy to do with a big group of people

This is one of my favorite trails in the park. I usually take the Skyline Trail to the Switchback Trail, follow the Fire Line Trail, and end up back on the Skyline. It's picturesque and challenging! it's great.

well maintained and great for beginners. not too many people on it and the view at the top was worth the hike.

I really liked this trail. The trail is kind of rustic and overgrown in places but I enjoy that type of terrain so I didn’t mind. I thought the view from the overlook was pretty and worth the hike up. My dog and I stopped and had lunch at the picnic table before heading back down.

Nice hike. Well maintained. Some rocky sections with tree roots. Nice family hike. Our group’s ages ranged from 7-75. One nice overlook. Well shaded for the majority of the hike. Some open sections.

I really liked this trail. The reason for 4 stars is that the trail is easy enough to follow, but at 2 turns it wasn’t marked well and one can easily get off track. Otherwise nice and quiet, nice looking down at train tracks and the river with some bubbling spring as well.

Nice hike! Weird 65 degree day in March so very little snow and ice to contend with. Decent views at the top and a couple small stream crossings. Not very strenuous but some gradual uphills got the heart rate up.

This trail is well marked and not difficult at all... A few icy spots. but in general, it is definitely manageable! Great view once you reach the top. We even had lunch by the picnic table!
