This was a beautiful area to hike and explore. We loved the moss covering lots of trees and rocks. The snow on logs and sections of ground was also very picturesque. This is a filmmaker's/photographer's dream zone.

However, there isn't much of a trail to follow. We went in the second week of March. There was a heavy snowstorm a week prior, but the snow was only patchy during our hike. According to Alltrails, the trail goes across the river before starting the loop, but there wasn't anywhere to cross the river safely, so we stayed on the side where the trail started. We tried crossing the river on logs which spanned the river, but they were either too thin or not long enough.

TAKE CAUTION if you're trying to complete this whole trail. The river might be even deeper and wider in the spring and summer.
