Rider Hollow Trail [PRIVATE PROPERTY] is a 2.7 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Coburn, Pennsylvania that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, and mountain biking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Please be mindful and considerate when hiking this trail as parts of it are on private property.
This trail is nothing like the description. It is not Poe Paddy, not even close to Poe Paddy. There is no tunnel either, the picture on the description was taken at another trail down the road. There is no parking, you have to park on the side of the road. The trial is marked, however less than a mile up the trail you have to turn around because there is a gate across the trail. Do not waste your time. Go to Poe valley.
I would not define this as kid friendly although it is rather easy, it is all up hill on the way in. This seemed very much to be private property and there were deer stands so I would be careful during hunting season. There was no walking bridge or tunnel on this trail. I’ll have to go back and look for it down the road next time. Nice view at points.
Not hard to to find but no trail parking that I found. Also not well marked. I was fortunate to meet a local who directed me to a suitable parking place and directed me to the view. There was an interesting tunnel and rr footbridge on penns creek with parking but it was filled with fishermen!
