Amazing hike that I will definitely do again—I want to do it in every season! I hiked counterclockwise because I wanted to end by the waterfalls. Getting up Bulldozer was definitely difficult. I’m in good shape (I finished this hike almost an hour under the estimated time) but had to take a few breaks at the beginning. Once you get to the top, there is a viewpoint to the right if you follow the yellow blazes about a quarter of a mile. Definitely work the detour! Then you get back on Bulldozer. Bulldozer was quiet. I only saw a few other people (and kept clapping because there was clear evidence that bears are active in the area, though I did not see any). Some parts were VERY muddy so wear proper boots. The rest of the trail was pretty crowded, especially by the lower sections of The Falls. But the scenery was worth the slowdown! I have already recommended it to three friends who have done it and loved it.

Started on falls trail at sunrise trying to beat the crowds. It worked out well as we had most of the falls to ourselves. Easy climb up being there was so much to see. Took highland trail over to bulldozer. Bulldozer was quiet and secluded only saw four other people. But much of bulldozer was pretty much a washout. Tons of mud and very rocky. Wicked steep toward the end. If you want a beat down start with bulldozer.

I didn’t do the complete trail because I was testing a new pair of boots and didn’t want to overdo it. But there’s a side trail at the top called Valley View that has a stunning view of the valley. It’s less than a half mile and I highly recommend checking it out.

This trail did exactly what I was looking for......It wore me out! Great views on the Falls Trail on the way up. Started at 9:30am and trail was already getting crowded....as expected. When we made it to the top and cut over to Bulldozer Road, it was a different story. We felt like we had the trail to ourselves. It was challenging though due to all the leaves covering the rocks on the road and the road was wet for a considerable portion of the 3 miles. The last two miles were tough as it is a steep downhill. Plenty of work on the calves and butt on the way up but peppered the knees pretty good on the way down. Bulldozer road was very quiet and serene. We had a great day that was challenging throughout.

The falls part of the trail, of course, is spectacular. The Bulldozer segment is more remote/wooded wide path most of the way with some muddy/wet sections. Would recommend getting there early and going counter-clockwise to get through the falls first before the crowds, then is just peaceful trail rest of the way with a long descent back to the lot which isn't too rocky.

It is a very calm and not heavily trafficked trail (actually I did not see anyone until past the old dam on Rickets Glen lake). However, the first mile taking you up the hill must be categorized as hard. Warm up before you hit the trail as you will gain more than 800 ft elevation in less than a mile of the trail. Alternatively, you can choose the Falls trail and go up the mountain in a stepwise manner. That way you will see more of the waterfalls too.

Significant climb in the first mile of bulldozer (about 1200 feet). Levels off to a peaceful flat trail. The nearly three miles of bulldozer are very secluded. Once you reach the end of this 3 miles you'll start to see people. There are no rewarding views at the top due to the trees but if you take the falls trail down there are beautiful sights, but on a nice day the trail becomes quite crowded as you near the falls. All trails are well marked.

Great trail, starts out as an exercise from the bottom. Once you’re at the top it’s peaceful with beautiful scenery and no one else for miles.

Traction needed for much of the hike on the way up. The hike on the way up was very scenic along waterfalls, the hike down was incredibly boring logging path with no views and very wet.

A steep grade hike starting at the base of the mountain that takes you to the top, then a mostly flat meandering trail through forest. Over grown near the junction of Bulldozer Rd trail and Mountain Springs trail. Hooks up with Glen Leigh portion of the Falls trail and continues back to the parking lot along side waterfalls and kitchen creek
