Pine Run Preamble is a 2.4 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Nice views. Some places the trail is really narrow and when bikers are on it you have to stand in the tall grass. Both bridges are out so you have to cross in the water. When it’s low you can cross fine over the rocks without getting super wet. If it was higher you would get wet. Having to cross the rocks makes it more fun though.

I used to hike this trail every day when I was dealing with a lot of things going on in my life. Because it meanders it reminded me of a prayer maze and because it is quiet and secluded it really helped me to focus on the challenges I was facing and gave me the peace of mind to face them.
