I live within easy walking distance of this section of the trail, so I am on it 3-4 days per week. The Panhandle Trail in its entirety runs from Collier Twp PA to Weirton WV, 29 miles. The Walkers Mill - Gregg Station section is probably the busiest of the entire trail, but even on a heavy use day it is still less crowded than the nearby Montour Trail (intersects with Panhandle in McDonald). The trail is well maintained though there are rough patches where heavy rains create washouts. This is a good section of the trail for families.

Perfect for beginners. Hiking or Biking or Running. I suggest to take your hiking shoes as there are some interesting and challenging natural trails along the way.
