Pretty little trail traversing around the lake. Very popular for fishing but we were the only ones hiking this morning. Good bird watching. No other wildlife but my dogs were with me and that usually keeps other animals away.

Nice walk! There were boardwalks over all the muddy/swampy areas. Trail was well maintained. A couple of steep spots but not difficult. Enjoy!

Nice trail. Very muddy today with some spots of snow and ice, I’m glad I had my crampons. I like that there is some variety in the trail.

Beautiful little 4 mile trail around the lake. Well maintained and not difficult. Slightly muddy this time of year, but not too bad. Will definitely come back in the spring or summer. Looks like a great place to canoe or kayak also.

Nice and easy trail. Very peaceful on a blustery Monday morning. Most of the trail was muddy due to some ground thaw, but nothing overwhelming.

HikingMuddy

We did this hike today, temp low 40's, so parts of the trail were somewhat muddy due to ground thawing. There were very few hikers, so for the most part we had the trail to ourselves. Nice benches along the way for our 70+ year old hiking legs to take a breather. It's a blessing to get out and enjoy GOD's beautiful creation. How wonderful it is to live near Opossum Lake, and to take advantage of this Anglers Access hiking trail.

This is a nice short hike with views of the lake, mountains and fields. The trails are well maintained but should be marked better.

Beautiful trail. Some confusing blazing for a first timer. Going clockwise fro. the back of the main parking lot the trail starts, not at the lake's edge but at the ebd of the parking lot away from the park entrance. On arriving at the dam the trail goes to the right just on the dam side of the road's guard rail. On approaching the bridge jump over the guard rail, cross the bridge bear to the right side of the guard rail to the gravel road which is where the trail continues. Several other unclear spots so keep your eyes or your GPS open!
