This is a continuation of the North Country Trail through the northern pan-handle of Moraine State Park. There is a parking lot/trail head on Route 528 (Prospect Road). The trail runs north mostly along Route 528 and on most of the trail you can at least hear the road traffic. The trail is well marked and maintained with moderate traffic. This portion of the North Country Trail leads to the Jennings Environmental Education Center which is in close proximity to Route 8 and also serves as a trail head. I hiked the trail as an out and back.

This trail is well marked and maintained. I hiked this as an out-and-back and only saw three other hikers during the day. The scenery was very nice with views of Lake Arthur at one portion of the trail. The only downside was that much of the trail is in close proximity to Route 528 and you can hear car traffic although you are not right "on top" of the roadway. This segment of the North Country Trail leads to the Jennings Environmental Education Center which is an interesting place to explore if you make the time.
