~ BEAUTIFUL TRAIL! Unlike most nature trails, Nolde added bridges and platforms to the trails to make your hike a little more aesthetic. The architecture of these platforms and bridges were very well thought out and definitely won’t bore you. They also do amazing in creating pictures ~

Went on a hot April day, it was very nice because we weren’t under the direct sun and we’re by the water for much of the hike which made it cooler. Lots to see, but would’ve been better if we’d gone when there were leaves on the trees. Everything was a little dead. Otherwise, it was a great 2 hours hike!

Great trails through tall pines, along the creek and around remnants of the original owners (gravel roads, mansion, etc). I'm glad I grabbed a map because the trails do not have blazes. They have signs but mostly at trail intersections. It's get a little confusing. Overall nice hike though. Some steep hills but nothing too challenging.

This trail system actually is 10 miles of different trails. It’s pretty amazing! Wear sturdy hiking shoes as there are lots of exposed roots and rocks along the paths. The paths are clearly marked although I recommend getting a trail map before you start out just so you have your bearings. If you’re not familiar it could be easy to get turned around.

I was here on a Monday morning in mid October and it was quite peaceful. The one exception was several minutes of two dogs barking at each other in some other part of the forest. The sound really carries there and everyone in the forest probably heard them barking! Otherwise, it was a very quiet, peaceful, and tremendously enjoyable hike!

loved this trail! Everyone's pups were leashed - it was nice to walk the dogs without feeling like you were going to be bum rushed! Cute little bridges and water throughout - wish we could have found the house/mansion but went to late in the day and had to turn around. Only suggestion is some more parking!

I hiked this trail in June 2015. Was there on a Friday morning and encountered a total of four people while I was out. Mostly easy walk through the woods; I made it more challenging by turning around at the bottom of that long hill and going up it again. Very peaceful, bordering on eerie.

I live just 6 miles from Nolde Forest and hike there regularly. In addition to the well marked trails they offer a handy fold-able map/brochure (it's at the mansion/office and the Sawmill kiosk) that makes it easy to plan a variety of hikes where you can choose the difficulty level and the distance by combining the many different trails. The entire park is a beautiful environmental, education center where an abundance of seasonal plants and flowers grow - simply enchanting!

I've been to a ton of parks and hiking areas within a two hour radius of Kutztown and this is my favorite place ever. It's not so much a hike as it is a trail. I love it here, it's so peaceful and so beautiful.
