I was very disappointed that you can no longer hike this trail. We have been hiking this trail for 20 years. It’s the best trail in that area. I don’t know why it changed but that was a terrible decision. Came across so many disappointed hikers wanted to experience this beautiful hike.

Is there someone I could contact to gain permission to hike on a particular day. I love this location and have been hiking here since before I could walk. (40+yrs) I would love to have permission to hike and photograph the waterfalls.

easy hike! not overly crowded, only ran into a few people. took my dog, she loved it! the trail is not well marked... but having the all trails app and occasionally checking that helped me stay on track.

Can be confusing with all the trail options. But 100% worth it. Wonderful views and a nice flowing stream.

As many have stated, trail is not properly marked and is not to be confused with the neighboring blue trail. There are unmarked trails everywhere. I have published a vid on my YT channel (Wild On The Trail) that gives highlights and trail tips. Simply follow the stream to the top and Lewis Rocks are on the right. This is a beautiful trail worth visiting. Allow a little extra time to navigate and enjoy the adventure. Following the stream (upstream) will be your key to a successful journey. The All Trails navigation is cheap insurance. Be sure to run in airplane mode to conserve your battery. Adding a small battery bank to your pack will keep it up and running and allow extra photo ops and video

Easy to get lost due to many trail options and difficult to navigate due to overgrow & fallen trees. But the AllTrail app helped us stay on track. Loved climbing the rocks and the waterfalls. Kids had a blast.

5/27/19 had a wonderful hike. plenty of water. falls were flowing pretty full. no snakes today although some spotted a copper head. sunny day and good view from the top. well worth the hike, not too strenuous.

Fun hike with my 11yo daughter. There’s definitely No Trespassing/Posted signs but as far as I could tell no one around to stop you. It is a game preserve so be sure your hike is outside of hunting times/seasons. No cell service out there but iPhone will still use GPS on the map here in the app and that was most helpful for following the route; otherwise we’d have gotten off track a few times. You start by crossing the first creek you come to by walking over logs. This is to your left and there isn’t anything posted guiding you (again the phone GPS/AllTrails map was invaluable). We actually went a couple hundred yards to the right as I was keeping the creek to my left, but that piece of advice applies to after crossing the first creek. Nice waterfalls and not a sound but the flowing water out there. The last third of the hike turns to the right and is quite steep to the summit. A variety of boulders at the top for climbing and scrambling and decent, but not 360 degree views at the top due to the trees. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it.

This first part through Tumbling Run is marked Posted but..... sweet hike up the hill following the stream up to Lewis Rocks. From there made my way to the AT on Bike Trails. Then to sunset rocks and so on. Easy hike.

This trail has challenges that some might feel difficult to overcome. My family and I have hiked this trail for many years and throughout those “many years”, it has changed. Trees fall and cross the trail, stream changes its normal path due to snow melt and heavy rains, and bushes and shrubs get bigger and wider. However, the 1 and a half hour hike to the top is worth the trip. Balance, traction and grip are focus points while you hike this trail. Make sure small children stay with you as you hike - the trail will get a bit slippery at the top of the trail summit. Be sure to keep the stream to your left going up and of course, to your right going down. If you see trash - pick it up... THANKS and enjoy!

We started to hike in from the road and came across heavily posted signs including a log gate blocking the trail with posted signs. Posted by Tumbling Run GP, which is the darker green area on the map, private property. Not sure if you can get permission to hike up it or it is not accessible. The area along the road was extremely wet and difficult to navigate crossing several small streams. We ventured up toward upper Happy Hour trail then found our way back down on a trail not on Alltrails. This trail was exactly following the border of the GP. Was disappointed we didn't get to go up to Lewis rocks but still some good alternate trails to explore.

Horribly marked trail. Only went a little under half mile in then turned around. It was a little later in the eve to risk it.

This is one of my favorite hikes just follow the stream up and then there is a nice rock to climb with a great overlook. Head back down the same way.

This was a very nice trail to hike. It was rather difficult at times so I had to carry my 4 year old. Not sure why this is called kid friendly. We came across a copperhead so watch your step! Be prepared to cross water several times.

Great scenery once you get to the top but very steep and rocky towards about the halfway mark. Lower levels were very washed out and muddy but great nature walk. There was no good spot to cross the stream at the very beginning but we got creative and balanced across the fallen trees, which the kids enjoyed very much. No real good places to stop for rests but overall a beautiful trail.. well worth getting the whole way to the summit!

This is a fun short tail that gives you opportunities to hop over rocks and small waterfalls at the headwaters of a creek. There are also opportunities for light bouldering on the quartzite outcrops at the top of the mountain.

Great hike! Don't follow the blue trail markers, that leads you the wrong way. Just back track the water flow towards the right and you'll get to the water fall. We went past the falls and climbed the rocks.

Went just after a rain! Beautiful and lush, the stream and falls were wonderful! Parts of the trail along the stream were a bit tricky with wet rocks and logs across the path but it's manageable and worth it! Could have stayed and listened to the sounds of the stream for hours! Natures music

I don't suggest taking the loop route that this trail is currently marked as. The hike up to the ridge line was fine but poorly marked. Trail became nonexistent a little past that.
