Had a mostly fun time hiking this loop! Did this with my wife last weekend and decided to use this as our first backpacking, overnight trip. Decided to start out going West on the Laurel Highlands trail to the Quarry Trail, which is where we had the LEAST amount of fun. The Quarry Trail was very overrun with sharp grasses, and we only had shorts as the temperature was hot. Definitely recommend long pants. Continued North and instead of going onward, we decided to do the Grove Run Trail as well which was seriously beautiful and worth the extra mileage. Continued a few miles on the Summit Loop and decided to make camp. Completed the last four or so miles the next morning.
