Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail: Route 271 to Decker Avenue is a 8.2 mile heavily trafficked point-to-point trail located near Johnstown, Pennsylvania that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. This is a section of the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail (LHHT). It starts at the Route 271 trail head a heads north to the Decker Ave shelter area. This is part of the 70 mile LHHT system and can be completed as an out and back with or without camping.

Awesome trail with some mildly rolling hills. Minimally technical. Over the past 10 years that I've been running this trail weekly I've only seen one bear, one rattlesnake, one coyote, but lots of deer. Very safe.
