We had a great hike on this trail! The AllTrails app made it super easy to know which way to go when there was a crossroad.

Muddy spots today as expected. Nice trail. Had to check the app a few times in order to decide what to do at a trail intersection. Looks like a good place to trail run.

A great trail! First half of the loop was fine, the second half was very icy and muddy. Unless you’re prepared, I’d wait until temps warm up a bit to melt the ice.

Nice trail especially given the time of year with all of the wet weather. perfect distance for a moderate workout. trail was somewhat difficult to follow in spots and had to backtrack two or three times.

Trail was in good condition, a bit muddy but it is January and had snowed last week so I fully expected that. Nice hike but you really have to watch for the markers, some are missing, could definitely be marked better.

Easy going and great views of the lake. The dogs enjoyed it as much as we did.

Should be rated as easy. nice trail but poorly marked. Park ranger was patrolling the entire place like a hawk, we were yelled at for walking on a patch of grass to get from the large bridge back onto the trail...

Great loop, saw bikers, hikers, and horses. Added on the 2A-2C spur for an extra climb for my workout.

Could be labeled better. Very beautiful however.

Steep incline. Start the hike heading toward Jacobus if you want to do the steep going down, otherwise if you start the hike heading toward the direction of York you will face it (going up) about a mile into the hike.

really nice trail. a couple of muddy spots and downed trees after the storms the last 2 days. THE DAM IS FINALLY OPEN TO FOOT TRAFFIC. Overall a very enjoyable hike.

The Water Street Bridge is open to Horse, Bike, and Hiking Traffic! You can now complete the loop. Moderate hills in spots, lots of side trails and some areas with poor markings - you could get off the main trail easily. Mostly shady for a summer hike. Unfortunately, even though they have finished working on the dam Lake Williams is still not completely backfilled.

This trail would be absolutely beautiful if the water were in the lake (not sure why it was drained but based on reviews seems to be empty for awhile). Also bridge is out so you can’t complete the whole loop around the lake which was disappointing. I saw a warning of this from someone who mentioned this 5 months ago and figured it would be done. It is not. It was also a weekday and no one working on it which is concerning if it will ever be done.

Great hike but be aware that you cannot complete the loop with the dam construction going on. We did this hike Thanksgiving morning and when we got to the bridge over the dam it was fenced off and we had to turn around.

The hike was very easy. unfortunately the Lake has been drained this past summer, so the views were not as pretty as they couldve been. Would love to come back when the lake bed isn't empty.

Wasn’t very well marked... some of the marker were actually split into pieces. Saw a lot of wildlife and only 1 other hiker while on the trail.

the reason I'm giving it 4 stars in not five is because the trail markers were not marked very well but the actual Trail was amazing
