This was a great loop that can be repeated. It has moments of steady incline and beautiful views of the lake.

LOTS of poison ivy and oak on the edges of the trail. very little signage. there was a section that was partially blocked by fallen trees and washout. an experienced adult could navigate it, but you definitely can't navigate it with kids. it has nice views and is a shorter loop.

This trail is great. The east side is pretty flat with low grade slopes, a beautiful and easy walk. The west side of the lake has a few steep climbs and descents, the trail is still very well kept, but it will get your heart rate up! The northwest corner stays a little wet after rain and currently there are two trees down across the path, however they are pretty easy to climb over.

Lake Grubb is beautiful park is located along Hempfield Hill Road. I discovered later that the park is the site of a former iron ore mine. The ore pit was filled with water to create Lake Grubb. The park covers about 54 acres and is heavily wooded with a 1 mile hiking trail looping the edge of the lake. There are benches placed along the trail overlooking the lake for resting and contemplating nature. The trail was fairly easy. In fact, I passed some people running the trail. The park also has many areas for picnicking (grills and picnic tables, plus 2 pavilions).
