Peace Valley offers 14 miles of nature trails in the woods and meadows at the eastern end of Lake Galena. Doylestown is nearby and offers many great restaurants and historical sites of interest. The town also has several bed and breakfasts. The trails vary from mown grass paths to remote, moderately technical trails through the woods. Some paths are mowed or graveled and have bridges or stone steps at creek crossings. Others are more "primitive." Nice, peaceful surroundings and plenty of lakeviews. Water and restrooms are available.

Extremely crowded all the time.

Pleasant walk around the lake! Long but easy trail

A very pleasant walk. Just nice people walking and biking with friends and family. Lots of picnic spots and benches to take a break to breath and enjoy the nature. Wish there were unpacked trails in parallel.

Good paved trail! Came here on a mostly cloudy, windy, 50 degree day and it felt more chilly than it was. A lot of courteous people out. Most were wearing masks but a number weren't. Hard to find anything wrong with this path, except the crowds.

All good things

Came here the day after spring started. Unfortunately a lot of others had the same idea although most did not do the whole loop. Since it was so crowded and since the path was nothing like the picture above (it was mostly a 4' wide tar path) I would like to give it a 1 star but the views of the lake were very nice and the little paths on the north east side of the lake were also very nice to explore. So I ended up giving it 3 stars. When hiking stay to the right since there were a lot of obnoxious bicyclists who often dd not warn you when approaching you from behind. Starting the loop from the parking lot indicated on the map is the right thing to do since you get to the nature reserve center half way. There they have nice benches and tables where you can rest and eat snacks, if you brought some along. Looks like a nice place to come back to in the summer when you seem to be able to swim in the lake,

We walked the trail for the first time and it was great. Since this is both bike and hike trail, it can get busy sometimes. Today the weather was really awesome and there were a lot of people out on the trail. Note - the restrooms are closed for the season but they do have portable restrooms around the trail.

Great trail. Been going here my whole life but never did the full 6 mile loop. Very easy to follow trail. Today I did the full loop with my 3 month old border collie puppy and she loved it, she gave up and refused to go any further with only 5 minutes left to go. She’s a trooper, it’s a beautiful place to get a nice hike in

Great paved trail - I’ll say mostly flat as there are a few hilly bits. Well-maintained, very little litter (which is surprising as there aren’t many trash cans along the trail). Multiple access points, but not all have bathrooms so if that’s a concern for you, then make sure to plan accordingly!

Paved trail, 8% slope is the greatest you’ll get. Nearly all 6 miles along water. Good for walking, running, or biking.

Smooth blacktop trail that offers a very scenic view of the lake.

Very easy. Whole trail is paved, didn’t look like there were real hiking options. Beautiful views & wildlife. Crowded.

Mostly flat, some very mild inclines. Bring water for pup as you're not always near water for them to jump in.

Great Trail. Very scenic with Lake Galena in the background. Peace Valley County Park recently added a section near Creek Road. Now you can hike the complete route without going on the road. You can do a six mile loop around the lake. Very easy hiking.

The trail is a nice walking, running or biking path around the lake. It was pretty empty on a weekday afternoon but I imagine it’s popular on a weekend! There’s boat rental and fishing piers. Right now there are tons of birds - their songs and the distant church bells do make it a very peaceful place.
