Beautiful day for a hike! A little bit hilly for part of it but not too bad.

Nice hills on the west side...without tree foliage you can actually see the rolling hills across the lake. The trail also travels back along some fields and the so scenery changes a bit. East is mostly flat and easy and you also get a lot of traffic noise from Rt. 183. Lake Border trail can get pretty muddy during and after wet days in general, but is a much better trail to do when drier.

Great trail it starts easy but as you cross the bridge to go back around it has a couple steep hills ,nice to get a good sweat. Had to get off the bike a couple times just to make it up top. It gets a little confusing at the end being that there’s a road to go back saying road not maintained enter at your own risk. But not bad at all. About 7.5miles app says 6miles.

Nice trail. Really well marked and not that difficult. Last half mile is on road. Or you can take a longer path in the woods back to parking lot.

I enjoyed it very much. Did it about a month ago. There is actually a trial that runs closer to the water just at the beginning which I chose. It is about 1 mile long and merges back again with the main one. No traffic at all, saw just one couple at the very end. Liked the water and corn fields.

Much of the hike is along a busy highway. There are definitely more peaceful options in the area.

I'm glad I took others advise and started on the other side of the bridge. First 4 miles are pretty hard. The last 3 are easy. Nice hike though. A lot of diversity. Woods, fields, cropland, hills, and valleys. I will probably do this one again.

Many thanks to Kelle Zimmer for recommending going in reverse! It was my first more challenging hike and glad I didn’t hit those hills on the 2nd half.

The first half of the ride was a mellow, relaxing section of trail only to be followed by intensely difficult riding. Long, steep, rocky hills make for an exhausting finish to the ride.
