Very shady trail that is nice until you have to cross the highway bridge to get back to the parking lot. honestly, next time I may turn around and just go back the way I came. Nice well traveled trail. was not muddy, but it hadn't rained in awhile.

Nice trail with the family. Parts are muddy but there are wooden platforms to avoid most areas. You can see the lake for most of it. Come across a busy highway towards the end but there’s room to walk.

This is a fun local trail. However, it tends to get very muddy. Also, to complete the full loop, you must walk a small portion along a very busy road. Be extra careful with dogs and small children.

Nice easy trail. Good for a short trail run. Wasn’t muddy for me, but I could see it being very muddy after a recent rain.

Nice trail for a warm, breezy day. There is a lot of wildlife to see—turtles, snakes, deer, and squirrels. The wildlife makes it a really great trail to walk with kids. However, the trail is very muddy and I recommend bringing waterproof boots.

New to ‘hiking’ but found it fairly easy. There were a few steep inclines but nothing terrible. The only complaint (and the reason for four stars) is that you have to walk along a main road without a sidewalk at the end.

Took my 5 kids to hike here. the bridges were very helpful and the kids loved using them. Some hills are steep and I wouldn't consider the whole trail easy. Someone could walk halfway and back and it would be easy. Once you walk around the lake, the trail picks up in intensity and then you have to walk along the highway, which was frightening with 5 kids. I will only make a full loop of the trail if I have help on the highway. Overall, great trail and well maintained. My very active boys loved climbing trees, skipping rocks, and splashing each other.

Lots of great things to stop and do on trail. We skipped rocks, climbed a tree and swung in a really awesome branch

Just did a sunrise hike this morning with a couple of friends and a dog! This was my 3rd hike here in the past couple of weeks. Great trail - fairly easy hiking, nice views of the lake this time of the year. A bit muddy at places this morning and a new tree down (since Sunday’s hike) across the trail when about 3/4 completed - able to navigate through and over it fairly easily. Encountered some wild turkeys on the trail this morning. This is a nice distance and terrain for beginners and anyone wanting to spend 40ish minutes in the woods!

We looped out and back and added some extra spurs to add more distance. Lots of muddy spots today

Very nice scenic trail. Rain from the previous night made spots very muddy.

Great trail-was my first time in over 15 years since I’ve been there. Got alittle confused when it came to the T intersection;took a wrong turn and thought the trail went along the river. If you pass the cemetery, you’re going the right way. My legs were tired by the end but it was just the right distance. Would be alittle tough for a young kid I think

Nice hike with views of water. Some disrespectful people have left trash behind, but it’s not terribly littered. Saw lots of squirrels and one black snake on trail. Some parts of trail were damp after over a week of no rain, so I imagine it gets pretty muddy. Overgrown in some parts with a few downed trees. Cemetery was cool, but sad to see obviously historic grave markers were knocked over. Went on a very hot day, at the hottest part of the day, but it wasn’t overwhelming thanks to the shade. Bugs weren’t bad. Last bit (or first bit depending on which way you go) on the highway wasn’t ideal, but not death defying. Definitely wouldn’t do that with kids or dogs.
