Definitely on the lower end of moderate. 95% shade so great for a hot day, and not much elevation gain. Great views and a few rocky spots which I personally enjoy. Only downside is proximity to 501 traffic noise during parts of the hike. Overall a great short hike for a hot day.

The trail is very shaded so it makes a great trail to do on a hot day. I didn't think it was a difficult trail at all. There is very minimal elevation. It was quite rocky at spots but that's not uncommon in PA. There were 3 total overlooks and they were breathtaking. Not crowded, we were able to sit and enjoy the overlooks with no one else around.

Great hike for me and my boys ages 10 and 7 (did it in early June). They were slowing down by the end but made it. Stunning view. The only downside is the car noise at one end, as others have mentioned.

An easy moderate with a lovely view of the valley at the top of the route. Trail is very well shaded and fairly well marked except at the rocky bit. Part of the trail isn't too far from the road so you do hear car noise. Enjoyable and a good length.

Pictures don’t do it justice. A few rocky areas but well worth it. I would rate it moderate

The trail has a slight incline in many places. Very large rocks on trail so wear good shoes. Which slows you down. The overlook is breathtaking

Nice trail with a couple great overlooks. There were a lot of rocks in some spots, but that just added to the fun for us and our dog!

This trail has a few nice overlooks. Today was unique since a snow sqwal came through right as we were on the main overlook. The experince was a 5 out of 5. But the trail itself is ok. Not the prettiest and some sections were annoyingly rocky.

Nice trail. Worth all of the views! Me and my buddy will be back to camp. There are a couple sweet spots to camp out overnight and chill with friends! Good for dogs as well!

Great hike from 645 to 183, 12 miles. About 5 miles to go to 183 after the last climb the trail makes a right turn onto a new section. Blazes on this new section are terrible. Very spaced out and sloppy blazes. Actually had me worried I was on the right tail. This new section takes you within 0.1 miles of Berks County highest point. Lots of lookouts on this section.
