The starting point and then for the next mile or so is all pavement so if you are looking got a mountain biking spot it really doesnt start until you're almost at the sheetz gas station. you're better off starting closer to there and then there is some gravel trails that are kind of wannabe mountain bike trails that lead to some make shift mountain bike trails and a pond that doesnt look swim friendly. there is all sorts of historical buildings for some train stuff with all sorts of signs about them. if you want a brisk walk or a running trail through woods on pavement this is great but if you're looking for an adventure ehhhhh.

Pretty congested. Better for walking. It was a good bike workout for a beginner. It was gravel/paved combination. I would consider it moderate level if you are out of shape. It’s very disjointed with it crossing multiple roads, and the cars do NOT yield to pedestrians/bikers. If you bring children, park somewhere that is already in the loop part. We started at the Levan St. trail head and it was 13 miles out/back.

This is a nice trail for a bit of exercise. It has slight inclines and there are plenty of benches to stop and relax. There are plenty of history signs about the cement industry to read. I did the loop plus some…

Lovely trail. We did the loop and some of the spur. The old kilns were cool to see and there were some other neat little things along the trail. I wouldn’t call it crowded but there was definitely a good amount of traffic. People were friendly, trail was well maintained and- most importantly- a lot of shade!

My wife and I biked starting at the. Spur around the loop, very nice. Scenic views, National Historic site at the Kilns and the people were very friendly. This is a gem for a bike ride. A must do !!!

I did this hike on the bike and it was absolutely amazing so much to see. It is not crowded but you will run into friendly people walking and biking. Very clean and a little construction which doesn’t interfere with the path. Lots of memorial benches, trees and even a garden which I found wonderful.

When your options are few, Ironton R-T offers a nice one-hour local escape. Maintenance is good. The trail is busy, though not overcrowded. Scenery varies from pleasant woods and pretty streams to industrial ruins and suburban backyards. Plenty of informative signage and railroad history too.

Walking

Trail is well kept, paved and easy to walk. However, after the first 5 miles it feels as though you’re walking in a neighborhood - which is fine if that’s what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a bit more nature there are better spots in the Lehigh Valley. Nice for the day, but won’t be biting at the bit to come back.

Great wide trail. It’s a ten mile loop and mostly paved. You can get a little over 12 miles if you park here using google maps. You can ride a bike, run, walk, and even hike. Ironton Trailhead, 3200-3218 Levans Rd, Coplay, PA 18037

Great trail! Mostly flat, almost all paved, and easy to follow while walking, running, or biking. Two Porto-potties on the trail, both well-maintained. The entire trail from the Levan’s Rd trailhead, around the loop, and back is approx 13.1 miles, so it’s ideal to “practice” a half-marathon

This took like 4½ hrs to finish and there were lots of interesting artifacts like eagle scout project descriptions and graffiti on the bridge walls, and this can be a good trail, especially on Saturdays, depending on the weather.

This is a pet friendly trail along a creek/river and mostly paved paths. Benches along the trail to stop and breath in nature. Troy (my puppy) loved the trail. Especially along the river.
