Mountain bikingGreat!

First time doing this loop and I really enjoyed the adventure. I totally connected with the history and remnants of the local railroad days. Very glad they were preserved and displayed by the historical folks! Mix of shade and sun, plus the sound of small streams along the way, and many parking opportunities makes this an excellent hiking and biking trail. Also close to urban areas to find a brew-pub afterwards!

Great trail. The trail was clean, evenly paved and wide enough to share with bikers, walkers and wild life. A most picturesque place this is! I look forward to returning!!!

mY FAVORITE. it's a long trail, but features plenty of access points and a HUGE VARIETY of environments. you may find ruins, or walk through a suburb, or find a small place to cool off in the water, or even a handful of playgrounds. There is also a access to the Appalachian Trail here. we walked 8 miles with our 6-year old and only had to carry him through a slight, unshaded area. otherwise he was as engaged as we were the whole time. plus, it's wide enough for biking, hiking, jogging and 4-wheelers throughout. I can't wait til our next trip there.

Nice overall trail. Well maintained. Lots of little historical spots along the way. Some creeks to stop and cool off. A good hour long ride. Lots of ways to make each ride a little different.

The straight away is a perfect bike ride, picnic and to play a little in the creek. So much fun! Note - some busy streets to cross.

Running

I enjoyed this trail, if you park at the Levan Rd parking area you can get 12.93 miles in for the entire loop! Great for half marathon training. It was a rainy day and the ground was wet but not flooded and the ducks and birds were out enjoying the puddles.

Hiking

The part we hiked today was not very nice. We passed a small pond that was fenced off and the smell was unbearable. There was a man made wall that blocked the view of everything and anything. There was also a lot of trash. We would like to try this trail again, but head the other direction. Hopefully the other parts are better.

Walking

Asphalt and packed gravel. Great place to let the boys learn to ride their bikes on with others to teach trail edicut. Wide so others can past without startling them. Some parts are shaded and others in full sun. Mile markers and benches along the way. There are a number of rails, train wheels and a caboose along the way to look at. Great easy trail.

Nice walk, part of the trail is under construction 4/1/18. Many scouting projects along the way were nice to see.
