We hiked this trail 9/2/18 and it was very overgrown. We started down the cliff hanger trail and where it cuts up the mountain towards hyner overlook we lost the trail with all the growth. Since we had shorts on we turned back as it was so thick with vines, weeds, and prickers. The trail if used more or earlier in the spring might be good. But we had a poor experience. The views of the river were nice. I’d love to see this trail in April/May. Do watch your step on cliff hanger trail. The name speaks for itself. Not for kids.
